Age
NoCoach is for people 18 and older. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Account
When you create an account we collect:
- Name
- Sign-in provider: Apple, Google, or email
- Date of birth
Profile
To set up coaching we collect:
- Sex
- Height and weight
- Goal
- Experience
- Schedule
- Equipment
- Injuries and limitations
- Diet preferences
- The coach you choose
Training and nutrition
As you use the app we collect:
- Workouts and sets
- Custom exercises
- Habits and goals
- Food logs and recipes
- Body measurements
Photos
We collect photos you add:
- Profile photo
- Progress pictures: front, back, and side
- Food photos
- Form or gym photos you send in coach chat
Messages
We collect the coach chat thread.
Apple Health
Only after you give permission, NoCoach can read from Apple Health: steps, activity, calories, distance, floors, hydration, heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV), VO2 max, weight, body fat, sleep, and workouts.
Only after you give permission, NoCoach can write to Apple Health: workouts and weigh-ins.
On Android, the same kinds of samples can be read from Health Connect, and workouts and weigh-ins can be written, only after you give permission.
Notifications
If you turn notifications on, we store the push notification token for your device.
Subscription
We receive subscription status from Apple, and from Google on Android, through RevenueCat. We do not receive your card number.
Analytics
Product analytics go through Brekky. Brekky receives an account id and the screens you open. This is not advertising.
Where data is stored
Data is stored in our database and file storage (Supabase), on your device, and with the providers named below.
OpenAI
OpenAI receives coach chat, training and diet plans, food photos, and form or gym photos. It uses them to generate coaching, plans, and food logs.
OpenAI receives physique photos and Apple Health samples only if you tap Allow. If you skip that, those are not sent. The same rule applies to Health Connect samples on Android.
Open Food Facts
When you scan a packaged food, Open Food Facts receives the barcode so it can return the product. It does not receive your account.
Apple and Google
Apple and Google receive the sign-in and the subscription payment.
How health data is used
Health data is used only to provide coaching, training, and nutrition. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not shared with data brokers.
Photos and health data are not public and are not shown to other users.
Turn sharing off
You can stop sharing at any time:
- Deny or revoke Health, camera, and photo access in iOS Settings.
- On Android, revoke Health Connect, camera, and photo access in system settings.
- Decline the in-app share prompt. Physique photos and health samples are then not sent to OpenAI.
Delete your account
In the app, open App settings and choose Delete account. That deletes the account, photos, and stored data from our servers and storage. It does not cancel a subscription. Cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
How long we keep data
We keep data until you delete the account. After you delete it, we delete it from our servers and storage. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may keep purchase records under their own rules.
A copy or a correction
You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@gocoachless.app.
Changes
This policy can change. When it does, we post the new date on this page. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
